Seventeen Injured in taxi collision at Watson Highway in KwaZulu Natal

Seventeen people were injured following a side impact collision on Watson Highway in Tongaat a short while ago. The Reaction Unit South Africa Tongaat Operations Centre received multiple calls from the passing motorists reporting the collision. RUSA Members were dispacthed to the scene and upon arrival found a Toyota Quantum and a Mahindra SUV lying on its side. It was established that the fully loaded taxi was travelling in the direction of Tongaat when it collided into the side of the Mahindra SUV that was turning onto the south bound lane of the N2 from Watson Highway. The injured were treated on scene for moderate to serious injuries before being transported to hospital by medics from a private ambulance service.
