At approximately 06H23 Wednesday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Khan road in Pietermaritzburg.
On arrival of the Netcare 911, Paramedic ambulances from other private services were already in attendance.
Reports from the scene indicate that a mini-bus taxi driver lost control around a bend.
A total of seven people were transported to a hospital for further assessment and care.
