Scores injured in taxi crash on the N3 Pietermaritzburg Bound near Key Ridge

Scores of people have been injured after a Taxi and a Truck collided on the N3 Pietermaritzburg Bound near Key Ridge just after 4:30pm this afternoon.

Rescue Care and Meditech Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a Taxi and a Truck had collided in the left two lanes of the national freeway. Approximately sixteen people had sustained various injuries and immediately more ambulances were dispatched to assist. The passengers had sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious injuries and were stabilised on the scene before being transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage the events leading up to the collision are unknown however the necessary authorities were on the scene and will be investigating further.
