Responding ambulance rear ended by a fleet support vehicle who was trying to cut through traffic this weekend on the N2 Northbound near Westwood Mall

Medics escaped injury but were enroute to a primary medical emergency and sadly whilst traveling through traffic a bakkie collided into the moving Ambulance.

Another Ambulance had to be dispatched to the primary call due to the damages on the motor vehicle, the driver did not want to report the damages as he was newly employed and rushing to a truck which was broken down.

All emergency services were in attendance

Please do give way to emergency services do not tailgate them to beat traffic and also keep the emergency lanes clear if traffic is built up as there could be a collision further front and emergency services will need to pass through
