Public cautioned of expected high temperatures tomorrow

With the expected high temperatures tomorrow we urge people to stay hydrated, to try avoid direct sunlight between 10 am to 2 pm and to wear sunscreen and hats.

Parents need to be aware that children will likely want to swim, ensure they are supervised and swimming in a safe area. Make every attempt to swim on beaches supervised by Lifeguards.

If showing any signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke, please contact your GP, local casualty department or IPSS Medical Rescue.

Our Search and Rescue teams are on standby in the event of any drownings, please report these as soon as possible.
