Pedestrian airlifted after collision with bus in Centurion

A pedestrian was left in a serious condition after he was knocked down by a bus in Centurion this evening.

At approximately 7pm, paramedics from ER24 and other services arrived on the scene along Centaurus Road in Centurion where they found a 57-year-old man with serious injuries to one of his legs. Bystanders explained that the man was run over by a bus. Paramedics found him still lying in the road. The ER24 Oneplan Medical Helicopter was called to the scene to airlift him to hospital for further treatment. He was placed on life support on scene shortly before he was airlifted.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not yet known. Local authorities attended the scene and will conduct an investigation.
