One (1) person was killed after the vehicle he was a passenger in collided into a tree on Lacefern End in Trenance Park – KZN today (Saturday).
The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre received multiple calls for assistance for the occupants of the green Opel Kadett. On arrival at approximately 13:39, Reaction Officers discovered three (3) occupants in the vehicle. According to the driver, the brakes on the car failed while travelling down a steep hill. He attempted to navigate to safety but the car collided into a tree. A 43 year old male seated at the rear was killed. The 56 year old driver & a second passenger sustained moderate injuries.
The injured males were stabilised on scene by Paramedics from a private ambulance service.
