The driver of a white VW Polo sustained moderate injuries after his vehicle collided head-on with a blue Hyundai Elantra at the Ireland & Wick Street intersection in the Verulam CBD, KZN.
Medics from Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived at the scene at approximately 23:19 and found the Hyundai Elantra with extensive damage. It was established that the VW Polo was traveling towards the Verulam CBD and the Hyundai Elantra was headed towards the R102 when the vehicles collided at the intersection.
The driver of the VW Polo was treated on the scene for moderate injuries before being transported to a hospital ambulance.
