VRMED and other services were alerted to a head-on collision between a minibus and a vehicle close to a hospital entrance in Bloemfontein.
On arrival, emergency services found that a vehicle had collided head-on with a minibus trapping 4 passengers in the minibus.
Sadly one passenger had already succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased.
The remaining trapped patients had to be extricated by Mangaung fire and rescue using jaws of life.
One had sustained serious injuries and was transported by VRMED to Pelonomi trauma unit.
The remaining patients including a child sustained minor to moderate injuries and were also taken to Pelonomi Hospital.
The cause of the collision is currently under police investigation.
