A man in his 20s was critically injured when struck by a light motor vehicle on the R512 in Lanseria.
ER24 and other services arrived on the scene at 13h05 to find the man lying on the side of the road. The light motor vehicle that had struck the man was parked a short distance away.
Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in critical condition.
The man was treated and provided with advanced life support before he was airlifted by a private medical helicopter to a private hospital.
