A head-rear collision involving two sedans on the N4 toll road near Vosman in Emalaheni claimed the lives of six people early on Monday morning.
Four of the deceased were occupants of another sedan, while two victims were in another vehicle.
One of the victims was burnt beyond recognition. Two more people sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the nearby hospital.
The investigation to determine the cause of the crash is already underway. However, reckless and negligent driving cannot be ruled out.
Meanwhile, Mpumalanga MEC for Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Mr. Vusi Shongwe is once more calling on motorists to exercise due diligence when driving to avoid these deadly crashes.
"Motorists must always prioritize their safety and that of other road users.
Those who drive long distances must take regular breaks because some of the deadly crashes are caused by fatigue," says Shongwe….
