IPSS Medical Rescue, together with IPSS Search and Rescue, are currently on scene of an accident on the N2 near Bridge 12'Mandeni.
A vehicle has left the road at high speed, crashing through the barrier and down a 20m embankment.
Currently, there is one person deceased, and 3 patients in serious condition including an 11-month-old baby.
IPSS Paramedics are currently working on stabilizing patients, whilst IPSS Search and Rescue is working on moving the patients up the embankment into waiting ambulances. They will be transported to suitable facilities for further care.
Sadly the deceased is entrapped and will be extricated by Rural Metron Fire Department.
