Just after 18h00 on Wednesday, Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a shooting incident in Ubhejane Crescent in the Avoca Hills area.
On arrival on scene, a fifty-four-year-old male municipality worker was found to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was declared dead on arrival of paramedics.
The motive for the shooting and the events preceding it are unclear and will form the subject of a South African Police Services investigation.
