Approximately twenty-five people have been injured after two taxis and a car collided on Bester Road onramp to the M25 this morning around 7 am.
Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find chaos. Two taxis and a car had collided. Paramedics found multiple patients with multiple injuries and immediately more ambulances and Advanced Life Support Paramedics were dispatched.
One lady was severely entrapped in the wreckage and the Durban Fire Department had to use the Jaws of Life to free her. Once all of the injured had been stabilised on the scene they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
At this stage, the events leading up to the collision are unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
