Midlands EMS control room received several calls regarding a serious accident on the N3 Between Cedara and Hilton at around 11:25.
3 local Advanced life support ambulances were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, it was found the scene to be over nearly 100m over the road and the vehicles all having sustained severe damage, and several injured.
1 person sustained critical injuries and was placed on a manual ventilator on the scene by another Service. A further 5 other people sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor.
All patients were treated on scene before being transported to various hospitals for further care.
The exact cause of the accident is under investigation by local authorities.
