Multi-vehicle collision leaves one deceased on the N2 between Umdloti and King Shaka Airport

CERT volunteers received reports of a serious collision on the N2 northbound between Umdloti and King Shaka Airport.

CERT volunteers together with emergency services responded. Upon arrival, first responders found multiple vehicles involved and multiple persons injured. They were assessed and treated by various ambulance companies before being transported to the hospital for further care.

One person had suffered serious injuries and required Advanced Life Support intervention, despite all efforts he was unfortunately pronounced deceased on the scene. The exact cause of the accident is unknown and will be investigated by SAPS. CERT would like to convey our deepest condolences to the family.
