A thirty-six-year-old male motorist has been left in critical condition following an attempted hijacking incident near Hennopsrivier in Erasmia.
Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene just after 10h30 to find the man seated in his vehicle with multiple penetrating wounds. He was treated and stabilized on the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.
Reports from the scene are that a number of armed suspects attempted to hijack the man, stabbing him in the process, however, the South African Police Services were in attendance and will be conducting the necessary investigation accordingly.
