A 42-year-old man was left seriously injured this morning when he was knocked off his bicycle at the R57 and Dube Intersection in Bophelong.
ER24 personnel arrived on the scene at 07h30 to find the man lying on the side of the road. The taxi that had struck the man was parked a short distance away.
Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained injuries to his head and right leg, leaving him in a serious condition.
The man was treated for his injuries and provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported to Sebokeng Provincial hospital for further care.
Local authorities will be investigating further.
