A man has been airlifted with the assistance of the Netcare911 aeromedical helicopter, after losing control of his vehicle and plummeting over a bridge during the night.
The vehicle was noticed in the early hours of this morning and Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene at approximately 06h00 to find the motorist still in the vehicle with critical injuries.
Advanced Life Support intervention was needed to stabilize him before he was airlifted to a specialist facility for the definitive care that he required.
