Man airllifrted following a crash on Queen Nandi Drive.

At approximately 09h20 on Saturday morning Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a serious motor vehicle crash on Queen Nandi Drive.

On arrival on scene a single light motor vehicle was found to have crashed into an armco barrier before overturning and coming to a rest on the centre median.

A male passenger aged in his late twenties, was ejected in the incident and found on the roadside with critical injuries.

Advanced Life Support intervention was needed to stabilize him before a decision was made to airlift him with the assistance of the Netcare911 aeromedical helicopter to a specialist facility for the definitive care that he required.

The driver of the vehicle suffered moderate injuries and was treated and stabilized on scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.
