KZN Premier joins the MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison to launch the Provincial Easter Weekend Road Safety Plan.

The Premier of KwaZulu-Natal Nomusa Dube-Ncube will today, 28 March 2024, lead the Provincial Government Human Rights Commemoration event in Mkhanyakude District Municipality at Makhasa Stadium.

The Premier will join the MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison Sipho Hlomuka and Law Enforcement officers to launch the Provincial Easter Weekend Road Safety Plan. The Premier will also visit a water storage facility and 7 boreholes in the Nompondo area at the Nkostina Location in Ward 8.

“This event marks the conclusion of the annual commemorations of the Human Rights Month. However, human rights are everyday issues. For Government service delivery to the people, provision of clean water, road safety are fundamental human rights that our people must always enjoy. It is what those who lost their lives in Sharpeville fought and died for.” said Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube.
