Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department launched the #CoJSaferEaster Campaign in Woodmead

The EM of City of Joburg Cllr Thapelo Amad & MMC Mgcini Tshwaku has launched the #CoJSaferEaster Campaign in Woodmead.

They are joined by JMPD A/Chief A Mokasi, EMS A/Chief A Macuvele, leadership, and staff from Public Safety.

Operation Lungisa Indaba Zakho aims to encourage the public to renew their vehicle license discs, renew their driver’s licenses, and visit their nearest Vehicle Testing Station (VTS) for roadworthy tests.

Motorists will be encouraged to do these before they travel so that they don’t find themselves on the wrong side of the law.

Operation Manje Namhlange will continue to be the primary theme and through it, Joburgers will be encouraged to:

• Keep to set speed limits
• Pay traffic fines or face prosecution
• Refrain from performing church rituals in rivers and streams, especially since there is a cholera outbreak and recent drowning by churchgoers while performing baptismal rituals.
