The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) has been alerted to another job scam in which a person posing as a DCS official contacts members of the public and promises them Prison Warden positions at the Kgoši Mampuru II Management Area. The scammer operates using the number 079 477 8781.
Correctional Services wishes to reiterate that the Department does not require any payment from applicants when applying for employment. All legitimate job opportunities are advertised through mainstream media and on the departmental website at www.dcs.gov.za.
While we understand that the harsh realities of unemployment may leave citizens vulnerable, we urge members of the public not to fall prey to these scammers.
We call on anyone with information about these fraudsters to report the matter to law enforcement agencies without delay.
