Jaws of life used to free trapped driver near Nelspruit

A head-on collision on Friday evening between a taxi and a light motor vehicle left one person with moderate injuries.

Shortly before 10 pm, paramedics from ER24 and the local fire department arrived on the R37 approximately 10 kilometres outside of Nelspruit. Paramedics found that the driver of the taxi was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be freed from the wreckage. Once freed, he was transported to Rob Ferreira Hospital for further care.

The occupants in the light motor vehicle did not sustain any injuries.

Local authorities attended the scene….
