Fourteen people Injured After a Taxi Overturns in Trenance Park, KZN

Fourteen (14) people were injured following a collision on Inanda Road in the vicinity of Trenance Park in Verulam yesterday.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by passing motorists requesting assistance for the injured. Upon arrival, a Toyota Siyaya was found lying on its roof. Fourteen occupants had suffered mild to moderate injuries. They were treated on scene before being transported to Osindisweni Hospital.

According to the driver of the taxi, the passengers were on their way to church in Inanda when a Hyundai I20 attempted to make a u-turn in front of them. In an attempt to avoid a collision the driver of the taxi swerved resulting in his vehicle overturning.

Several passengers confirmed his version of events.
