Firefighters attended to multiple shack fires in Fleurhof Ext 5 informal settlement, which razed 44 shacks.
Two children between the ages of 2 and 5 lost their lives during this fire incident, and one adult female sustained minor injuries and was treated for smoke inhalation and transported to hospital.
Local authorities were also on the scene of the shack fires for assistance….
