Five-vehicle collision leaves 23 injured on the M4 near the Lemonville turnoff near Durban

23 people were left injured this morning following a five-vehicle collision on the M4 near the Lemonville turnoff near Durban, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics, along with several other services, arrived on the scene at o8h15 to find the two taxis and three light motor vehicles in the road. The occupants had already climbed out of the vehicles and were found walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found the 23 people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to various hospitals for further treatment.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
