One person has been killed in a horrific accident on the N3 Westbound under the Spine Road Bridge in Westville just after 9 pm on Tuesday evening.
ALS Paramedics Medical Services responded after receiving numerous calls for a horrific fatal accident on the freeway. On arrival at the scene, it was found that a single vehicle had lost control and overturned multiple times ejecting all three of its occupants. One person, a male in his late twenties sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing more Paramedics could do for him and he was declared deceased on the scene
Two other occupants sustained critical injuries and were stabilized on the scene before being rushed to a nearby Durban hospital for the further treatment that he required.
At this stage the events leading up to the accident are unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
