Eleven injured in collision involving two taxis in Rossburgh

Eleven people have been injured in a serious taxi collision on Sarnia Road by the M7 Bridge in Rossburgh just after 6 am on Monday morning.

ALS Paramedics Medical Services arrived on the scene to find that two taxis had collided in a T Bone format in the intersection. Multiple people were found lying on the roadway and immediately a triage system was set up and more ambulances as well as Advanced Life Support Paramedics were dispatched to assist. A total of eleven patients who sustained injuries ranging from moderate to serious were stabilized on the scene by ALS Paramedics before being transported to a nearby Durban hospital for the further treatment that they required.

At this stage, the events leading up to the accident are unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further….
