A short while ago IPSS Medical Rescue and IPSS S&R received reports of a drowning in progress in the Salt Rock area.
On arrival, paramedics found a 3 year old boy in a serious condition after being submerged in a pool for approximately ten minutes.
Prior to the arrival of paramedics the boy was pulled from the pool and a neighbor immediately started CPR.
The boy was stabilised on scene before being transported to a nearby facility under the care of an IPSS Medical Rescue Advanced Life Support paramedic.
Many thanks to the heroic neighbour, Jacques Joubert, who's quick action and early CPR undoubtedly prevented further tragedy.
