Just after 22h00 on Saturday night Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a shooting incident on Umgeni Road in the Stamford Hill area of Durban.
On arrival on scene a male patient was found to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds in an alleged hijacking incident.
The man was treated and stabilized on scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.
