As part of bringing services closer to the people, the Department of Transport is now opening Motor Vehicle Registration and Licensing Services in Local Municipalities.
This will enable people to register and renew their motor vehicle licenses without traveling long distances.
One of these facilities will be located within the Nkandla Driving Licensing Testing Centre.
MEC for Transport, Community Safety, and Liaison Sipho Hlomuka accompanied by the Mayor of Nkandla Mbhekiseni Biyela and local councilors today, 21 February 2023, inspected the state of readiness of the facility ahead of its official opening to the public.
Motor Vehicle Registration and Licensing Services, have already been opened at Local Municipalities. include Nongoma Local Municipality and Mtubatuba Local Municipality.
