Cross-Alive Road Safety Campaign led by the Minister of Transport, Ms. Sindisiwe Chikunga at Beitbridge Border Post

The Minister of Transport, Ms. Sindisiwe Chikunga will be in Beitbridge just outside Musina, Limpopo Province on 1 August 2023 to lead the Cross-Border Road Transport Agency’s (C-BRTA) Cross-Alive Road Safety Campaign. The campaign is intended to promote road safety along the North South Corridor. The C-BRTA is one of the five roads’ entities responsible for the implementation of the Parliamentary approved National Road Safety Strategy (NRSS) along with the other sister entities that include the RAF, RTIA, RTMC and SANRAL.

The Cross-Border Road Transport Agency is established in terms of the Cross-Border Road Transport Act (Act No 4 of 1998) as amended. As part of this mandate, the Agency is charged with the responsibility to ensure compliance to road rules as well as to ensure road safety.
