VRMED responded on Sunday afternoon to reports of a collision on the N8 approximately 30km from Bloemfontein close to Sannaspos.
On arrival, VRMED and Mangaung Fire & Rescue found two cars had collided causing one to overturn. VRMED quickly assessed the occupants and found that one of the occupants from the rear-ended vehicle had sustained fatal injuries while another sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the overturned vehicle was lucky to escape with no injuries.
The injured patient was transported by VRMED to the Pelonomi trauma unit for further care.
