Car rear-ends taxi leaving two injured in Kibler Park

Two people were left injured last night when a light motor vehicle rear-ended a taxi on the R82 in Kibler Park.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 19h48 to find the taxi lying on its side in the middle of the road while the light motor vehicle had come to a stop on the centre island.

Medics assessed the patients and found that a male passenger from the taxi had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition. The driver of the taxi sustained only minor injuries.

The patients were treated for their injuries, and the critically injured man provided with advanced life support interventions, before they were transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

The detail surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
