A 31-year-old man was critically injured early this morning when his vehicle left the Pretoria and Highveld intersection in Kempton Park.
At 01h44, ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the light motor vehicle on the train tracks. The driver was found lying trapped inside the car.
Rescue Services had to use specialised equipment to free the man from the vehicle. Once release, medics assessed the man and found him to be in a critical condition.
The man was treated and provided advanced life support interventions before being transported to Tembisa Provincial Hospital for urgent care.
