Bloemfontein Emergency Services Tackle Two Vehicle Collisions

Bloemfontein's emergency services had a busy morning responding to two vehicle collisions, both necessitating the use of the jaws of life for occupant extrication.

The first incident took place in Langenhovenpark, where a vehicle collision resulted in moderate injuries. The emergency team employed the jaws of life to free the individuals involved.

Subsequently, a second collision was reported on De Bruyn Street in the Universitas area. Upon arrival, emergency medical services provided immediate medical care. Both parties were treated at the scene and later transported to separate private hospitals for further management. Moderate injuries were reported, and there were no life-threatening conditions. The Mangaung Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene to assist with the removal of a vehicle door, allowing for the safe extraction of one of the occupants.
