Bakkie rollover leaves seven injured in Bo-Kaap

Seven people were left injured this morning following a vehicle rollover at the Morris and Long Market intersection in Bo-Kaap, Western Cape.

ER24 paramedics, along with Metro and Fire, Life Healthcare and Community Medics, arrived on the scene to find the bakkie lying on its roof in the road. The occupants that had been traveling on the back of the vehicle were scattered around on the scene.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that two men had sustained serious to critical injuries while five others had sustained minor to moderate injuries.

The patients were treated for their injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the patients were transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
