The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Tsakane Precinct officers attended to a pedestrian motor vehicle accident on Black Road, in the Tsakane area, where an unknown male pedestrian sustained fatal injuries.
Officers received a call from the control room about a male pedestrian who was knocked down by a vehicle at Langaville in the Tsakane area.
Upon arrival, officers found the lifeless body of an African male lying on the side of the road.
All role players were called to the scene, and upon examination by emergency services, it was established that the unknown male had multiple fractures and injuries to the head, and was declared dead on the scene.
Officers tried to enquire if anyone saw what happened and if anyone knew the deceased, but with little success. A case docket was opened for further investigation at the Tsakane
Police Station, while the body was transported to Springs Mortuary.
