A Taxi and car collide leaving twelve injured on the M1 and Xavier Road in Ormonde

Twelve people were left injured this morning following a collision between a taxi and light motor vehicle at the M1 and Xavier Road in Ormonde, south of Johannesburg.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the taxi lying on its side on the center median. The light motor vehicle was found parked a short distanced away.

Several people were found lying around the taxi while several others were walking around on the scene.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that two had sustained critical injuries while ten others had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

The patients were treated for their injuries, and the critically injured provided with advanced life support interventions before they were transported to various hospitals for further treatment.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
