A Police vehicle crashed into a tree in Cottonlands

A Nissan NP 300 bakkie belonging to the South Africa Police Service (SAPS) was extensively damaged after it crashed into a tree on Vincent Dickenson Road in Cottonlands – KZN.

A passerby contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre after he noticed the vehicle in a bush. Reaction

Officers were immediately dispatched and on arrival discovered that the bakkie was abandoned. Officers made telephonic contact with the Verulam & Ndwedwe SAPS. It was confirmed that they had no reports of a motor vehicle collision involving a State vehicle.

Investigation into the accident is underway.
