A pedestrian sustained serious injuries following a pedestrian-vehicle collision on Wednesday morning on the Phoenix Highway near the Longbury Drive intersection.
Emergency medical teams from KZN VIP responded to the scene after receiving reports of the incident. Upon arrival, medics found the pedestrian partially entrapped beneath the vehicle involved in the collision.
Advanced Life Support practitioners immediately initiated treatment and stabilization on scene before the patient was carefully extricated and transported to a nearby medical facility for further medical assessment and ongoing care.
The exact circumstances leading up to the collision cannot be confirmed at this stage and will form part of the relevant authorities' investigation.
All emergency services were in attendance.
