A Pedestrian left seriously injured in collision on Pricklepear Road, KZN

A 27-year-old man was injured after he was run over by a taxi on Pricklepear Road in Waterloo – Verulam today.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by the public requesting assistance for the injured man. Upon arrival, he was treated by medics for moderate injuries before being transported to Osindisweni Hospital.

It is alleged that the pedestrian was run over by a Toyota Quantum taxi that was reversing to pick up a passenger. After knocking him to the ground the vehicle drove over him resulting in his injuries. The driver claimed that he had not seen the man behind him.

The occupants of the taxi were not injured in the accident.
