8 Injured as taxi leaves the R33 Kambula at the Grootgewacht Dam offramp

At approximately 10:30 am Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the R33 Kambula at the Grootgewacht Dam offramp for an accident.

When emergency services arrived on scene they found that a taxi had left the road way and collided with large boulders in a field.

Paramedics rapidly assessed the scene and found that 8  had been injured, sustaining minor to serious injuries. The patients were treated on scene and transported to hospital for further treatment.

The exact circumstances of the accident and whereabouts of the driver are currently being investigated by the police.
