Eighteen people have been injured after a Taxi and a vehicle collided at the corner of Inanda Road and Acutts Drive in Hillcrest just after 6am this morning.
Rescue Care and Meditech Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that the vehicles had collided in the junction before the taxi left the roadway and hit a wall. A total of eighteen people had sustained various injuries and immediately more ambulances were dispatched to assist. Once all the injured had been stabilised on the scene they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
At this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
