Fourteen school children have been injured after the Taxi they were in collided into a car before veering off the road and colliding with a tree on Candella Road and Westmeath Avenue in Bonela Durban this afternoon.
Around 3pm Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the taxi against the tree and was extensively damaged. Fourteen school children had sustained various injuries and more ambulances were dispatched to assist. Once all the injured had been stabilised on the scene they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
At this stage the events leading up to the collision are unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
