In a second collision in three days Rescue Care Paramedics have treated another nineteen patients on Dinkelman Highway near Claremont on Tuesday evening just after 7pm.
Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that two vehicles had been involved in a collision. Nineteen people had sustained various injuries and immediately more ambulances were dispatched to assist as well as Advanced Life Support Paramedics. Once all the injured had been stabilised on the scene they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
This is the second taxi accident at the same intersection in three days. On Sunday evening Rescue Care Paramedics treated and transported fifteen patients as well.
At this stage the events leading up to the crash is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
