Seven children were left injured this morning following a collision between two taxis on Lang Street in Carletonville.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene shortly after 07h00 to find one taxi across the left-hand lane while another had come to a stop against a tree. Several children were found walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that seven children, aged between six and twelve, had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.
It is believed that the children had been on their way to school when the collision occurred.
Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
