A 26-year-old male sustained serious injuries in a collision between a vehicle and a taxi between Boy Louw street and the entrance to Steelpark in Vereeniging this morning.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly before 07H00, they found a man entrapped in the vehicle and he had to be extricated. Upon further assessment, he was found to be in a serious condition.
ER24 transported the man to hospital for further medical care.
A patient from the taxi sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital by the provincial EMS.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics, but police were on the scene for further investigations.
