PVES members received a call for assistance involving a burn victim found in a park in Nina Park.
Ambulance services were immediately requested to respond.
Upon arrival, responders found an adult female who had sustained extensive burn injuries and immediate emergency care was initiated while awaiting additional resources.
An airway was established, and oxygen therapy was administered. The patient was thoroughly assessed, and Advanced Life Support (ALS) assistance was requested for further intervention.
ALS personnel arrived within minutes and assisted with intraosseous (IO) access placement and advanced pain management. The patient was stabilised on scene, provided with ongoing treatment, and made as comfortable as possible before being transported as a Priority 1 patient to the nearest appropriate medical facility.
The patient was handed over to hospital staff and remains in a serious condition.
